Welcome to Developing Effective Professional Leadership
This course teaches educators to apply key principles of effective professional learning, transforming traditional passive training ("sit and get") into active, demonstration-based learning ("go and show") that improves learning environments and student outcomes.
By a structured onboarding process, we aim to equip new faculty and adjunct instructors with essential tools and resources for successful online teaching. This initiative will ensure they feel supported and confident in delivering online education to Del Mar College students, fostering a collaborative and engaging online learning environment."
The professional learning plan and supporting resources are authentic and tailored to Del Mar College faculty needs to prepare them for online teaching. This approach enables faculty to actively demonstrate and implement innovation plan strategies, creating transformative learning environments where technology enhances student outcomes.
To better equip new faculty and adjunct faculty for online teaching, a new approach should be integrated into the onboarding process. The more at ease they are with online teaching the more positively students will respond to their learning experience.
Reflecting on my contributions to both personal and peer learning, I recognize the significance of collaboration and shared experiences in educational journey. Through active participation, I have not only enhanced my own understanding but also supported my peers in learning process. I look forward to continuing this growth and supporting each other in our collective learning endeavors.
